Did you serve your country? Have you ever visited our nation’s capital? Have you been able to share the experience of seeing the memorials built to honor your service with other veterans who understand your sacrifice and service? Our Honor Flight program is looking for you! WWII, Korea and Vietnam veterans receive priority, but we welcome applications from ALL West Virginia veterans for our annual trip to Washington, DC.
Free of charge to every vet!
You’ll find veteran applications and guardian applications. Only veterans travel free, but we’ve kept the price for escorts low at 125 dollars, which includes all meals, AFHF t-shirts and, of course, transportation.
On our trip we visit Arlington National Cemetery where we see the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown. After Arlington, we head to the Iwo Jima Memorial, then the WWII Memorial where we have lunch delivered and spend time with Senator Joe Manchin and Senator Shelley Capito. Then it’s on to The Vietnam Wall, the Lincoln Memorial and the Korean Memorial. The photos below will help you visualize the joy of making this trip with Always Free Honor Flight.
