My memoir, “Gilligan’s Dreams” received the Ella Dickey Literacy Award from the wonderful people at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Marshfield, MO on April 23rd 2015. I can’t begin to tell you how rich in history this event is and what an honor it was to be included with the other 5 recipients  – Chef Roland Mesnier (Pastry Chef to FIVE American presidents), Dawn Wells (my wonderful friend of 38 years and now my honorary sister), Alan Day (brother to Sandra Day O’Connor and a real life cowboy), along with his co-author Lynn Wiese Sneyd and author Sally Rains. This recognition for my book, means more to me than I could ever express. To the wonderful folks Of Marshfield, thank you!
“Gilligan’s Dreams” is available in Gilligan’s Gift Gallery here on the site.

As if that weren’t enough, Dawn and I got to hang out with the dynamic crew (Mary Lou, Matt and Mike) of CBS Sunday Morning  and be interviewed by the adorable Mo Rocca.
